Luoyang unveils culture and tourism integration index
Henan provincial capital Luoyang has shown a 30 percent increase in its culture and tourism integration development last year compared with 2018, according to a development index unveiled in Beijing on Oct 9.
The index was jointly compiled by the Luoyang culture, radio, television and tourism bureauand theChina Economic Information Service.
It aims to monitor the city's culture and tourism development and offer experiences for other regions across the country.
The index measures various parts of the city's culture and tourism development, referring to development in 2018 as the baseline.
The city showed significant improvement of over 2018, 61 percent, in major scenic spot quality and utilization of local history, culture and tourism resources.
Last year, the city managed to stage culture and tourism festivals and learning trips, which improved 17 percent over 2018.
The index is expected to offer more information to industry players and tourists and accurate data support for the city to better promote itself on the international market.
