International Design Expo kicks off
The 17th China (Wuxi) International Design Expo opened in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province on Monday.
The three-day expo has a 16,800-square-meter exhibition area, which includes both solid models such as high-speed trains and industrial design works.
The 22nd WIPO-CNIPA Award for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention & Industrial Design, which was organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and World Intellectual Property Organization, was held during the expo.
According to Shen Changyu, head of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, the products presented at the expo, especially the 81 winning the award, are the newest representatives in the modern design field.
Two forums focusing on "design and intellectual property protection" and "design and innovation development" also will be held during the expo.
