TV program highlights how parents care for their children
For most novice parents, they might feel stressed or worry about the proper way to take care of their children. That makes Shao Er Shou Hu Ren (The Keeper of Children), a 13-episode serial program, a useful option to learn how to be a caring parent.
Now available on China Central Television's digital platforms, the program touches on some of the questions new parents may have, covering issues from vision preservation to common diseases and psychological health.
Spanning 15 minutes in each episode, the program, which is hosted by veteran anchor Deng Dong, invites top experts and doctors, such as Cui Yutao, a celebrated pediatrician, to respond to the questions. Zheng Shuguo, director of the Department of Preventive Dentistry at Peking University School of Stomatology, was also a guest on the show.
Producers said they wish the professional and scientific suggestions from experts could help parents to avoid making mistakes on treating illnesses and obtain a comprehensive system of knowledge to better care for their children.
The program also dives into the most effective and efficient ways to reduce risks of infection and what to keep in mind while taking COVID-19 vaccines.
"Nowadays, qualified parents not only need to ensure their children are fed or kept warm, but also need to update new knowledge, thus capable to help the youth grow healthy and happy," said Deng, who is also the initiator of the program.
