The 32-year-old Martin Fleig of Germany, the men's 15-km individual sitting champion at Pyeongchang 2018, twice missed targets and claimed silver, 46 seconds behind Liu.

Taras Rad, 22, of Ukraine, the men's 12.5-km sitting champion in Pyeongchang, missed four shots and took bronze, 49.2 seconds adrift of Liu.

"Today's shooting was not the best I can do, but I am proud that I produced really good skiing," Rad said.

"During the race, I fixed my belt because there was something wrong with it. It had an impact on the final result," he added.

The 24-year-old Liu Zixu, who won China's first-ever Paralympic individual gold medal with victory in Saturday's men's sprint sitting, missed five shots and finished fifth.
