Over 40 passers-by managed to lift a car and rescue a girl trapped underneath after a traffic accident in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province last week, according to an online news outlet.

CCTV video, filmed in Wuyi county of Jinhua on March 15, shows a young girl traveling on a scooter with her mother.

However, she suddenly fell from the backseat and was hit by a car, ending up trapped beneath it.

Nearby people heard the mother's cry for help and gathered around the SUV to lift it and free the girl.

The girl was taken out in under a minute and sent to a hospital immediately.

Fortunately she wasn't seriously injured and now in stable condition.

The video received widespread attention and praise after being uploaded onto the internet, with netizens complimenting the collective effort, and saying they were touched by the heartwarming scenes of good Samaritans rushing to help without hesitation.

Others pointed out the girl's lack of a safety helmet, and asked the mother to better adhere to safety measures in the future.
