Fifth CIIE marks 200-day countdown
The China International Import Expo Bureau released the intended procurement lists of six domestic buyer groups on Monday, which marked the 200-day countdown to the fifth edition of the expo.
Featuring items including integrated circuits, helicopters, hydrogen-powered fuel cells and biomedicine analyzers, the procurement lists include 194 products that State-owned enterprises, the National Health Commission, Beijing municipality, as well as the provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Gansu are looking to purchase.
Sun Chenghai, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said the expo will continue to be held in November in Shanghai and more than 70 percent of the planned business exhibition area has already been booked.
The bureau on Monday also released a list of 121 participating companies and three trade missions to help buyers get into contact with exhibitors before the expo. Organizers also noted that this year’s Hongqiao International Economic Forum, which will take place alongside the expo, will be focused on opening-up.
