The exhibition, titled "far" and "near", represents binary opposites in imagery. Due to different viewing angles, photos may lead to visual thrills or alienation. Viewing the images from different angles, the human brain will "edit" what meets the eye based on prior knowledge and memory. As such, the "unedited" pictures produced by the camera will eventually form a variety of aesthetic experiences.
Choosing opposite imageries like "far" and "near" is not intended by organizers to emphasize the distance between the two. On the contrary, it hopes to transcend the binary so as to inspire viewers to explore deeper meanings. The perceptible yet trivial elements of the universe will eventually be discovered through the "eye" of the camera lens.
