Every morning over the past 20 years, Qiu Meiying places some vegetables on the stall and then leaves to do her farm work.
"All the vegetables are planted by nearby villagers and are pollution-free," she said. "The vegetables are priced at less than five yuan ($74 cents) per bundle, so the vegetables are welcomed by nearby residents as well as some customers from urban areas."
"I am never concerned about losing my vegetables or money," she said. "When I return to the stall in the evening, I get the accurate amount of money in the empty basket."
