The 15,000-kilometer journey ended on July 12. Zhao said in his last video that "new life has begun and we would like to visit Xinjiang again".
The videos would keep memories of that journey alive for him. "At first it was very difficult, because I had to drive and shoot videos during the day, and edit them at night, which I was not familiar with," he said. Most of his videos were posted around 2 am.
