Development of Xiong'an key to future of China

Xiong'an New Area in Hebei province has promoted the construction of over 100 projects with a total investment of over 400 billion yuan ($57 billion), the country's top economic regulator said on Tuesday.
Cao Yuanmeng, deputy director of the Department of Regional Economy at the National Development and Reform Commission, told a news conference held in Beijing that the country will promote the implementation of a series of municipal infrastructure and public services ancillary facilities projects and improve policies to support the development of Xiong'an.
China announced plans to establish Xiong'an New Area in 2017, to relieve Beijing's non-capital function and advance the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
