China-Pakistan youth forum wraps up
The China-Pakistan Youth Forum for People-to-people Exchanges on Science, which gathered more than 100 representatives out of 19 universities from the two countries, wrapped up in University of Science and Technology Beijing on Thursday.
Wu Guilong, Party secretary of USTB, said that the university will study, publicize, and implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, continuing to improve the system for cultural and scientific exchanges between Pakistan and China.
Further efforts will be made to enhance people-to-people understandings between young students from both sides, he said.
Afifa Shajia Awais, education attaché from the embassy of Pakistan in China, noted that China has become the most preferred overseas study destination for Pakistani students. These students have been actively promoting Chinese culture to bridge the gap between the two countries.
She said she hopes that young people can collaborate in varied fields to contribute to the economic development of both sides, especially the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
