Rio Tinto is moving from engaging in traditional trade to forming a more strategic partnership with China, said Christine Yuan, vice-president of Rio Tinto China, during an exclusive interview with China Daily website.

The company is working with its Chinese partners to explore the opportunities in de-carbonization, digital innovation and also in ESG areas.

De-carbonization has been at the heart of Rio Tinto corporate strategy and it also aligns with China's national development strategy, and also with China's commitment to climate change, she added.
