Saudi Arabia approves Chinese textbooks
Chinese language teaching materials called Smart Chinese have been certified by the Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia, marking the first set of foreign textbooks approved by that country, according to Wisdom House International Culture Communication Group Co in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region.
In conjunction with language teachers working in the Middle East, a team of Chinese and foreign experts spent four years conducting independent research and development on the textbooks, which are designed for use in Arab countries.
Based on the International Chinese Language Education Standards for Chinese Proficiency, the books include a children's edition and a general edition with supporting teaching materials, including digital course programs, video lessons, graded reading and a learning app.
