China showcases its biodiversity at UN conference in Canada
China Pavilion at the UN Biodiversity Conference was launched on Wednesday during the COP15 in Montreal, Canada, with the images of the achievements of the country's environment protection attracting many visitors.
The conference, formally known as the second phase of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15), kicked off on Wednesday, and is expected to conclude with the adoption of a post-2020 global biodiversity framework later this month.
The picture album, focusing on China's southern Guangdong province's diversified habitats, illustrates the plants, animals, natural reserves, as well as the province's wetlands parks and urban-rural forest cluster systems, to showcase its biodiversity progress.
