Chinese rescue team arrives in Turkiye

They will first participate in a joint consultation with the local government, the Chinese embassy and United Nations bodies to learn about their key tasks and find a location to serve as their temporary command headquarters, it said.
Aside from undertaking search and rescue missions, the team will also provide medical aid, carry out disaster assessment and build mobile hospitals, the report said.
Dispatched by the Ministry of Emergency Management, the team won a certification from the United Nations for its ability to roll out urban search and rescue operations with heavy equipment in 2019.
