Beijing denounces latest US sanctions on Chinese entities
China firmly opposes the US including 24 Chinese enterprises and one individual on the US Specially Designated Nationals List to impose sanctions against them on the excuses of so-called Iran-related issues, a spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce said Friday.
The United States has repeatedly imposed sanctions on Chinese enterprises for alleged involvement with Iran or Russian issues recently. Its abusive use of unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction, which has no grounds in the international law, seriously undermines the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and individuals, interrupts the normal economic and trade exchanges between other countries, threatens the security and stability of the global industrial and supply chains, and hinders the recovery and development of the world economy, said the spokesperson.
The US should immediately correct its wrong practices and cease unreasonable suppression on Chinese enterprises and individuals, the spokesperson said, adding that China will take necessary moves to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and individuals.
