Promo event for health and elderly care zone of 6th CIIE held in Shanghai
More than 30 healthcare enterprises and institutions participated in a promotional event for the 6th China International Import Expo's health and elderly care zone in Shanghai on March 15.
Themed "big health, big health care", the health and elderly care zone at the 6th CIIE has a planned exhibition area of 4,000 square meters, according to the CIIE bureau.
The zone is dedicated to showcasing the world's leading healthcare products, technologies and services for the elderly, said Ma Fengmin, chief financial officer of the CIIE Bureau. The products on show will include nutritional health food and nutrient supplements, rehabilitation aids, sleep technology, professional massage equipment and barrier-free facilities.
Leading enterprises such as Sivanto Hearing, Ossur, Bivitec, Helion, and Herbalife will be participating in this year's expo.
To date, more than 210,000 square meters of exhibition areas at the 6th CIIE have been booked, and many CEOs of multinational companies have also confirmed their attendance, Ma noted.
Ossur, the only listed company in the field of prosthetics and orthopedics, will be attending the CIIE for the forth time, said Zhu Jinghao, president of Ossur Asia.
"Ossur's experience of participating in the CIIE over the past years has brought huge publicity and exposure opportunities to the company," Zhu said. "For the coming 6th CIIE, we will bring more advanced products and technologies to Chinese patients and empower the rapid development of China's prosthetics and orthopedics industry."
Cui Xiutao, general manager of Brevi-Tech China, said the company's participation in the fifth CIIE has deepened the public's awareness and experience of the brand, noting that its smart healthcare solutions exhibited at the CIIE have attracted the attention of many hospitals.
This year, the company will expand its booth area at the CIIE and showcase the latest specialized smart ward solutions such as with smart beds, Cui added.
Jiang Xiaojun, director of Shanghai SCP Xiaokayun International Health Care Industry Innovation Center, said that the center will join forces with various parties this year to introduce global health care products and services, and empower the health care industry with digital and intelligent services.
