Taiwan leader's 'transit' through US protested

Overseas Chinese gathered in New York City in front of the hotel where Taiwan leader Tsai Ing-wen was attending an event to stage a large-scale protest and demonstration. Waving China's red flag and holding up slogans such as "There is only one China", they showed determination to resolutely oppose "Taiwan independence" and safeguard national reunification. At the protest site, some Americans said they oppose Tsai's visit and do not want war.
