New books about aesthetic education launched
The first collection of Chinese Traditional Series for Teenagers has come out recently, providing a reference for aesthetic education of traditional culture targeted at children aged between 8 and 15.
From traditional clothing, treasures of traditional studies and various other articles introduced in the six books of the first collection, young readers can learn about ancient life, history and culture.
The first collection contains a total of 635 photos of cultural relics kept in domestic and overseas museums, in addition to photos taken during the producing process of some handicrafts to how Chinese ancestors' wisdom and skills have been inherited and developed in contemporary times.
At the book's launch ceremony on April 22, the publisher Xiron also announced a nonprofit project to hold exhibitions and lectures about aesthetic education in Guangdong province's Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Shanghai, Daliangshan of Sichuan province and so on.
