Chinese tea event sees record response in Cairo
The China Cultural Center in Cairo recently launched a series of cultural activities inviting Egyptians to experience Chinese tea culture, including a special tea party scheduled for April 24.
When information about the tea party was published, the response was enormous. The number of people who registered rapidly went over 700.
Shao Bin, deputy director of the cultural center, thanked local people for their enthusiastic participation. He said the regular activities of the center will start again and the central library will soon reopen. The library will continue to provide research services, he said, and welcomed locals to visit.
The event also featured a short film, Tea and Qingming, and a Chinese tea ceremony performed by Egyptian university students.
