BRI brings more than just fruit to China and Thailand
Under the Belt and Road Initiative, connections between China and Southeast Asia have been strengthened, with more and more personnel exchanges, trade and other communications among countries.
For Thailand, the BRI helps to restore the economy with new engines of growth, with more and more tropical fruits from Thailand exported to China. Data from Thailand's commerce ministry showed that China was the largest export market for Thai durians last year, accounting for more than 96 percent of the total export volume valued at $3.09 billion.
Thanks to the BRI, the two countries have enjoyed smooth communication and good neighborly relations with deep mutual trust.
In the future, experts from the two countries expect the BRI to be a platform for high-quality communication for the world and contribute to the changing international landscape that is at a critical transition period.
