Triumphalism, an exhibition of two artists living in two continents, is a cross-cultural exchange of how different cultures view the concept of triumph in different social and cultural contexts, as well as the extended meanings of it in a new age.

Chinese artist Xing Junqin and Australian artist Ian Howard, whose life experiences and work methods differ much, bring together their distinctive outputs which present a globalized outlook and meanwhile, local concerns.

Their works are grounded on persistent efforts, over some 20 years, to examine human society with a strong social consciousness. It is an invitation for the audience to reflect on the pursuit of over individualism and meaning of peace.

The exhibition is held at the 798 International Art Exchange Center through Sept 11.
