2nd Global Digital Trade Expo planned for Nov in Hangzhou
The second Global Digital Trade Expo, or China's sole national exhibition that focuses on digital trade, is planned to be held from Nov 23 to 27 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
The expo, organized by the ministry and the local government of Zhejiang, will set up one comprehensive pavilion, two featured pavilions and four digital industry pavilions.
China has vigorously developed its digital trade sector and introduced policy measures to promote the innovation and development of digital trade reform, He Yadong, a spokesman of the ministry, said during a press conference in Beijing.
China has established bilateral e-commerce cooperation mechanisms with 29 countries,signed digital economy investment cooperation memorandums with 18 countries, and a group of digital enterprises in China have successfully expanded their operations abroad,the Ministry of Commerce said.
Last year, China's import and export value of digitally deliverable services reached $372.7 billion. The proportion of cross-border e-commerce trade in total foreign trade has increased from less than 1 percent in 2015 to 5 percent in 2022, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed.
