The Games' main non-competition compound wows guests with eco-friendly and high-tech amenities
Vermillion bicycles have lined the streets and run the roads of downtown Hangzhou for 15 years, ultimately becoming de facto icons of Zhejiang's provincial capital. Today, 160 of these red bikes provide green transportation for athletes, team members, technical staffers and media personnel at the city's Asian Games Village, which celebrated its official opening on Sept 16.
The 19th Asiad's main non-competition venue is providing services such as accommodation, dining, transportation and medical care for nearly 20,000 guests.
