Crafting memories to last a lifetime
There are displays of traditional Chinese culture, traditional musical performances and lantern riddles, creating a festive atmosphere.
Quoc Bao Truong, a tennis coach from Vietnam, learned how to make a print mark of the Chinese character for the Asian Games, yayunhui, applied to a paper fan.
He said that he also buys mooncakes and sends them to friends during the Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam, so he was interested to see how Chinese people celebrate the festival.
The Asian Games Village has also established a diverse performance troupe of around 50 members, comprising talented vocalists, musicians, martial artists, acrobatics experts, magic performers, and exponents of various other artistic disciplines.
According to Zhang Yunzhi, the coordinator of cultural and artistic activities at the Asian Games Village, they have meticulously prepared a diverse array of performances, including specialized acts in acrobatics, magic, Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, and traditional Chinese music in the village.
"Our aspiration is for everyone to 'encounter Hangzhou, encounter Jiangnan (encompassing Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces)' while at the Asian Games Village," Zhang said.
