A look at how the Belt and Road Initiative has become a transforming force
Over the past 10 years the Belt and Road Initiative's circle of friends has grown ever wider.
China has signed more than 200 agreements as part of the initiative with more than 150 countries and more than 30 international organizations.
More than 3,000 joint projects have been established, involving investment of nearly $1 trillion, with the strong focus of all this being to give people wherever they are better lives.
Ten years ago the ideas afoot were barely discernible, but now, after the application of exquisite, colorful brushstrokes, it is clear that a masterpiece is unfolding before our eyes. In fact what we already have is a public good and platform that promotes international collaboration, its achievements being both numerous and remarkable.
These partnerships have sprung up far and wide, in all corners of the globe. As the 10th anniversary of the initiative's being proposed approached, China Daily reporters visited many countries involved, and they recorded what they saw and heard. Take a look.
