Chacarra flies the flag for Spain in China Open
Andy Ogletree played in the same early flight as Chacarra and consolidated his position two shots from the top of the leaderboard with a three under par second round of 69.
The former US Amateur champion made two birdies and an eagle in his outward nine, but a lackluster back nine of 36 hampered his progress to a better position.
"I had a couple of mistakes out there, but I was able to save a couple of shots," commented Ogletree. "I wasn't able to birdie either one of the par fives on the front nine so I just need to clean it up a bit."
"I hit a three wood to like 20 feet past the hole on 17 and was able to make it but it's a tough hole. I hit it in the water there yesterday so it was nice to kind of bounce back and make the eagle there today."
