Balloon exhibition takes off
Walking on Air, an installation exhibition featuring balloons is running at Beijing's World Financial Centre. Presented by Henderson China, the exhibition aims to convey the brand's vision of creating work and life balance while upholding the spirit of art, culture, social responsibilities, community engagement and welfare.
The exhibition consists of 4 installations; Expansion, Integration, Harmony, and Resonance. Balloon art and creativity are ingeniously blended. This is achieved by intertwining and diffusing vibrant color balloons the visitors can feel the lightness in the air, like the joy of walking on clouds. After Beijing, the exhibition will move to Lumina Shanghai and Lumina Guangzhou.
The installations are created by Daisy Balloon, an art team formed in 2008 by artist Rie Hosokai and art director/graphic designer Takashi Kawada. They have produced many balloon art works based on the themes of "perception and quality". Their daily fieldwork consists of searching for philosophical themes and interacting with people and objects, but their vision is constantly looking toward achieving essential harmony with their surroundings.
