The spirit and practice of yaji has been given revival these years, prompted by the rise of homegrown artists, designers and brands that focus on traditional culture and the creativity sector.

A Booming Fair in Fine Winter, a modern version of yaji was held in downtown Beijing over the weekend by Poly Commerce and Tourism Development. It gathered creativity products and objects of traditional arts and crafts to create an atmosphere of culture and Spring Festival, ahead of the arriving Year of the Dragon.

The fair was held at the second floor of Poly Plaza where a new art space, OPQEN, was opened to show works by contemporary artists.
