A high-speed train has recently surprised many passengers as it changed its dining car to a playground for children during the Spring Festival travel rush, and this act has gone viral on the internet.

The train G1654 leaving Xiamen, Fujian province for Shanghai on Jan 29 temporarily transformed parts of its dining car into children's playground where toys and storybooks are offered and train attendants played games with the kids.

This has not only relieved the burden of parents, but also improved other passengers' travel experience.

According to the staff, the idea of transformation was brought up by a group of post-95s conductors and train attendants during a brainstorm before the 2024 Spring Festival travel rush.

Complaints usually focused on children's noises in the past. Children struggle to control their emotions, with loud speaking, crying and other noises affecting other passengers.

The idea of offering a special place for children in the dining car came to realization. After studying, during the travel rush, some of the high-speed trains with 16 carriages from Xiamen to Beijing and Shanghai offered the service.

Some netizens gave a thumbs-up and said: "I will take my child alone on the train right away. It is so great to have this humanized design!" "It offers a solution to the noises - that is huge progress!"
