Seminar unveils cultural significance of Yangshi Lei imperial architecture
Zhang Zhiqing, deputy director of the national library, emphasized the library's recognition of the historical and architectural significance of Yangshi Lei drawings since their initial acquisition. The library has curated Yangshi Lei as a special collection, continually expanding its holdings. Presently, the National Library of China houses over 20,000 extant Yangshi Lei drawings and files, with approximately 15,000 pieces, constituting three-quarters of the total collection.
Experts hailed the seminar as the inaugural comprehensive interpretation of the cultural inheritance and development of Yangshi Lei at the national level. It also represents a pioneering exploration of strategies for safeguarding and utilizing world-class archival heritage.
