Join us at 7:30 pm on June 9 (GMT+8) for "Adventures on Dragon Boat Festival 2024", presented by Henen TV to mark the Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival.
This year's show features real people named "Duanwu" coming from various genders, ages, regions and backgrounds, who will share their personal stories and connections to the Duanwu Festival. Additionally, the program will present newly choreographed dance dramas and original dances, highlighting the beauty of Oriental aesthetics and the unique cultural traditions of the festival.
The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. It commemorates Qu Yuan, a ministerial scholar and patriotic poet of the Chu state during the Warring States period (475-221 BC). Traditional festivities include eating zongzi, drinking realgar wine and racing dragon boats.
