President Xi Jinping met with Russian President Vladimir Putin ahead of the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Astana on Wednesday. He called on China and Russia to continue to strengthen the alignment of development strategies and international strategic coordination.
