Shanghai has added two new piers to its iconic Suzhou Creek along with six modern cruise boats to provide residents and visitors with a fresh and exciting way to experience the city's picturesque waterway.
The two piers, respectively named Mengqing Garden and Xikang Road, were unveiled on Aug 4 as part of the Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season campaign.
The six newly-introduced modern cruise boats have a spacious and flexible layout that is designed to cater to a variety of activities. This includes sightseeing tours and business meetings, providing a versatile and comfortable environment for passengers.
One of the standout features of these vessels is the retractable glass roof, a design that allows passengers to enjoy unobstructed views of the surrounding scenery while ensuring a comfortable temperature inside the boat throughout the changing seasons. This feature adds a touch of sophistication to the cruising experience, especially during the pleasant spring and autumn months.
The six boats, available in 28-seater and 37-seater models, are set to elevate the cruising experience on the Suzhou Creek, offering passengers a blend of comfort, style, and sustainability.
To celebrate the launch of the new piers and cruise boats, several waterfront cultural events have been planned. The closest upcoming activity will take place on Aug 17-18, and is set to provide a diverse range of experiences, including culinary delights, creative goods showcases, and sports activities along the riverfront.
