How much longer will the Philippine Coast Guard ship stay at the Xianbin Reef?
Xianbin Reef has become the latest flashpoint. It is strategically located between Ren'ai Reef and Palawan Island, closer to the major Philippine islands. Occupying this spot could allow the Philippines to transform the reef into a crucial military outpost.
The Philippines' actions not only damage the reef, which is polluted by fishnets, scrap metal and trash with Filipino writing on it, but also violate the DOC.
The unwarranted presence of Philippine ships in Chinese waters will not achieve its goal; it will only harm the environment and embarrass the Philippines.
