On September 15, in the Panshi Gorgon Fruit Industrial Park located in Longgang community, Tongcheng town, Tianchang city, Chuzhou, Anhui province, the sound of large and small irrigation and drainage pumps echoed loudly, as layers of green gorgon fruit leaves were seen stacked one upon another. Workers were busy adjusting the water level in the gorgon fruit (jitoumi which translates as chicken head rice) fields. That morning, the Party member service team from Tianchang Power Supply Company in Chuzhou arrived at the gorgon fruit planting base to conduct safety inspections on the irrigation and drainage stations as well as the factory power supply lines.

"Throughout the entire growth process of the gorgon fruit, water supplies must not be cut off. Clear water quality should be maintained during seedling cultivation, and a constant water level should be maintained during transplantation. Currently, it is a critical period for the growth and fruiting of Gorgon, and the weather has been fluctuating between sunny and rainy. Therefore, water level control is very important. The timely service provided by the power supply department has saved farmers a lot of trouble," said Pan Ruigan, the head of Pan's Fruit Industry.

Longgang community, located in Tongcheng town, Tianchang district, Chuzhou, borders Gaoyou Lake to the east and Tonglong River to the south. It is renowned as the "Furong Port" and boasts abundant water resources, particularly in the production of gorgon fruit. In recent years, thanks to the support of local party committees and governments, Longgang community has gradually expanded and enhanced its production of small gorgon fruits.
