Shanghai Disney Resort will adopt a new real-name ticketing policy targeted for launch before year-end, according to official announcement Tuesday.

Under this policy, each guest will be required to use their own valid identification document to book tickets, with one ID allowing the purchase of only one ticket for the same date of visit.

When purchasing a ticket, guests are required to provide the number of their valid ID. Upon entering Shanghai Disneyland, each guest must present the original physical copy of the valid ID used at the time of ticket purchase.

The new real-name ticketing policy will apply to all guests, including those eligible for special tickets such as children, senior citizens and those with disabilities.

To support ID verification for children, age will be the only criteria for a child ticket once the new policy launches. Children aged three to 11 years old, inclusive, on their visit day are eligible for a child ticket. Children under three years old on their visit day can receive free park admission.

For children without an ID card, an acceptable ID certificate can still be used to purchase tickets and enter the park. Guests under 16 must be accompanied by someone aged 16 or older.

This real-name policy also applies to Shanghai Disneyland annual pass purchases. Each guest must use their ID to purchase their own annual pass, with one valid ID allowing only one purchase.

The official launch date and detailed ticket purchase guidance will be provided closer to the new policy's effective date. Guests purchasing tickets or annual passes before the official launch will not be affected.
