China's railways prepare for peak National Day rush

China's railway network is expected to handle 175 million passenger trips during the National Day holiday travel rush, which began on Sunday, the national railway operator China State Railway Group said on Sunday.
The 10-day travel rush will end on Oct 8. The peak day is expected to fall on Monday, with an estimation of over 21 million passenger trips being expected.
