In a picturesque display of nature's beauty, hundreds of swans have been spotted on lakes in Rongcheng, a county-level city of Weihai, Shandong province.

Every year, thousands of migratory swans spend the winter in Rongcheng, a testament to the region's appeal as a sanctuary for these birds, said the Rongcheng Swan National Nature Reserve.

Over the years, Rongcheng has intensified its efforts to protect the ecological integrity of the reserve's wetland area. Initiatives such as wetland restoration projects and upgrading sewage treatment facilities have been implemented to enhance the habitat.
