State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company: Supporting the transition from coal to electricity, enhancing quality and efficiency and bringing warmth to the people's hearts
"Thank you for coming to help us inspect the electric heating equipment at this time. With winter approaching, your inspection will give us greater peace of mind regarding electricity usage." On Oct 15, the State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply staff conducted a safety inspection of the electricity usage for users of air-source electric heating installed on Baofeng street, Zhenguan village, and Xingsheng village in the new countryside. The inspection aimed to promptly address potential safety hazards related to electricity usage, ensuring the safety and reliability of users' electricity supply during the winter season.
Before the arrival of winter, the State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company, organizes personnel to actively provide door-to-door service. They mainly inspect the power supply lines, residual current operated protectors, fuses, sockets, switches, etc. of electric heating users to ensure the normal use of customers' electric heating products. At the same time, special visits are made to special groups such as single rural elderly people and left-behind children's families to inspect electric heating equipment such as electric blankets, air conditioners, electric heaters, electric boilers, etc. They also explain the knowledge of the safe use of electricity, safe use methods of electric heating equipment, treatment of power failure and first aid procedures in case of personal electric shock. Focus is made on reminding families with elderly people and children to enhance their awareness of the safe use of electricity, to improve their self-protection abilities, and instill common knowledge on the safe use of electricity, which will remain deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
At the same time, the company also collected and summarized the demands and concerns of "coal-to-electricity" users, regularly conducted home inspections for users and checked for potential safety hazards in their indoor electrical facilities. Additionally, the company established a WeChat group for "coal-to-electricity" users to facilitate inquiries and repair requests at any time, promptly assisting them in resolving issues and ensuring that everyone in the area stays warm throughout the winter season.
For areas where the "coal-to-electricity" initiative is concentrated, temperature measurement tasks should be reasonably scheduled. Duty personnel should use infrared thermal imagers to measure equipment during the nighttime peak power consumption period daily, and ensure that detection records are organized, archived and analyzed to fully leverage the capabilities of the thermometers. Emphasis should also be placed on load monitoring in low-voltage public distribution areas. During temperature measurements, staff should carefully inspect equipment for signs of heating, overload and other issues, meticulously recording the measurement time, ambient temperature, test temperature and load conditions. Also, measurements should be compared with previous records to identify significant temperature variations. For those with substantial changes, regular temperature reviews should be conducted to ensure that temperature increases remain within the prescribed limits. Any overheating at ignition points or transformer overload should be promptly reported and addressed.
In the next step, the State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company will continue to focus on the operation and maintenance of areas and lines related to heating, such as the "coal-to-electricity" project. It will further enhance emergency repairs in the "coal-to-electricity" areas, and spare no efforts to ensure clean heating areas and reliable power supply during special weather conditions and critical periods. The company will address any potential issues related to the "coal-to-electricity" project promptly and efficiently, allowing users to enjoy the comfort and convenience of green energy more easily with greater peace of mind.
