On Oct 29, a signing ceremony was held for the Hilton Hotel project in Zhangjiagang, a county-level city of Suzhou in Jiangsu province, marking the official entry of the globally renowned hotel brand into the city.

The new Hilton Hotel is a collaboration between Hilton Group, Jiangsu Guotai International Group, and the Zhangjiagang Economic and Technological Development Zone (ETDZ), with a total investment of 600 million yuan ($84.15 million). The hotel will feature 18 floors and 280 international five-star boutique rooms. With a main building height of 82 meters, the hotel is set to become a new landmark in the city.
Han Wei, Party secretary of Zhangjiagang, urged Zhangjiagang ETDZ to offer proactive service to ensure the smooth construction of the project. He emphasized the local government's commitment to fostering a market-oriented, law-based, and international business environment to achieve high-quality development.
Nong Xia, president of Development for Greater China and Mongolia at Hilton Group, noted in his speech that the group has fully experienced the Chinese market's unparalleled resilience and growth potential during its over 30 years of development in the country. He expressed hope for broader and deeper cooperation with Zhangjiagang through this project.
In recent years, Zhangjiagang has successfully attracted several international high-end brands, such as Sam's Club, Marriott, and Lamborghini. The continuous expansion and optimization of the city's service industry have significantly contributed to local economic development. Furthermore, the introduction of the Hilton Hotel is expected to enhance the high-end business and tourism facilities in the area, injecting vitality into Zhangjiagang's tourism sector.
