As one of the four major black pottery production bases in China, Penyao black pottery has simple yet elegant features, with exquisite craftsmanship. It was listed as an imperial tribute in the Tang Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,400 years. Today, Penyao black pottery is included in the intangible cultural heritage protection project of Henan province, and its products are exported overseas. In order to meet the growing production demand and allow black pottery products to enter a larger market, the local area has introduced modern equipment such as CNC rolling machines, laser engraving machines and CNC electric kilns, combining traditional manual skills with modern production processes.
