China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration launched Series of Sino-French Youth Sports with Football Communication in Beijing recently, boosting exchanges between the younger generations of the two countries and upholding the spirit of endeavor.

The platform continues the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between China and France and China-France Year of Culture and Tourism this year.

French football club AJ Auxerre was among the first to join this initiative who signed an agreement with Chinese partners at the launch ceremony.

It was agreed that first activities under this mechanism would be held at the club from Dec 2-9, during which exchanges and games between Chinese and French teams would be held.

An overseas communication and exchange base for Chinese youth footballers is planned to be built at AJ Auxerre, according to the agreement.

Feng Yu, captain of Chinese artistic swimming team who won a gold medal at Paris 2024 Olympics, was designated an ambassador of the events.
