Taizhou’s green development boosts rural vitalization and sustainable tourism
In the late autumn fields of Taizhou, Zhejiang province, golden rice waves gently in the breeze, set against a backdrop of distant village homes and verdant mountains, creating a picturesque scene that has attracted tourists from across the country.
In recent years, with the rising popularity of agritourism, Taizhou has actively promoted rural vitalization, developing eco-tourism to create a sustainable path of urban-rural beauty, industry efficiency, and income growth for local people. The green development approach is expected to turn the region's natural beauty into an economic asset.
To enhance the development progress, Taizhou has optimized its rural power grid layout to support modern agricultural and tourism needs, improving reliability and bolstering power supply for various rural industries.
For example, at Taizhou's Hailiang Eco-industrial Park, electrified irrigation systems combining pumping stations, water reservoirs, and drip irrigation networks, along with photovoltaic pest-control lighting systems, have operated smoothly with stable power supply.
Reliable grid infrastructure is expected to set a solid foundation supporting the region's rural vitalization efforts. "The city is further strengthening electrical safety and providing high-quality, efficient power services to accelerate the development of smart rural industrial chains and put rural vitalization efforts on a fast track,"said State Grid Taizhou Power Supply Co, the region's power operator.
