20 projects awarded for pioneering science, technology by WIC
HANGZHOU -- A total of 20 projects on Tuesday received the World Internet Conference (WIC) Awards for Pioneering Science and Technology at a ceremony on the sidelines of the WIC Wuzhen Summit.
The projects -- all deemed to have international significance -- cover cutting-edge areas such as brain-inspired computing, embodied intelligence and the 6G network, and were divided into three groups namely basic research, key technology, and research and development.
Initiated by the WIC, the awards aim to recognize the most pioneering achievements in internet technology globally and promote international exchanges and cooperation in internet technology.
The 2024 WIC Wuzhen Summit is scheduled to run from Nov 19 to 22 in the water town of Wuzhen in Zhejiang province, East China.
Themed "Embracing a People-centered and AI-for-good Digital Future -- Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace," the summit features 24 sub-forums on topics such as the Global Development Initiative, digital economy and data governance.
