State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company renovates power lines in Zhejiang
On Nov 15, the construction of new towers and lines for the Yingshan section of the 10 kilovolt Shafan 224 Line was finished, signifying the conclusion of the renovation work on the Shafan 224 Line located in the mountainous area of Jinhua, Zhejiang province.
The Shafan 224 Line passes through several provincial-level natural water source protection areas, serving as a primary power supply line for towns and villages such as Langya town and Shafan town. This renovation project involved the construction of 11 new towers, replacement of insulating conductors and the installation of lightning protection auxiliary lines, leading to a comprehensive upgrade of the equipment along the Shafan 224 Line and Yingshan section. This will significantly improve the passage conditions of the line and effectively enhance the lightning protection.
For a long time, the Shafan 224 Line has faced issues such as redundant end-line routes, large power supply radii, poor passage conditions, low automation levels, poor suboptimal grid structures and excessive connections to small hydropower stations.
In recent years, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company has been promoting the comprehensive renovation of the Shafan 224 Line. Focusing on the mainline, major branch lines and connecting lines like the Yingshan section, the company replaced old poles with towers to improve the passage conditions of the line.
Through continued coordination, they established cross-regional connections with State Grid Suichang Power Supply Company, and increased the options for power reversal for the Shafan 224 Line and greatly optimized the grid structure.
Additionally, measures such as installing quantum switches, replacing small hydropower voltage regulators and installing line fault wave recorders were implemented. These measures significantly reduced the fault rate of the mountainous area lines and enhanced the reliability of the rural power distribution network in Wucheng in Jinhua city. It has injected new power into the development of rural areas.
In the next stage, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company will continue to intensify efforts in the renovation of rural power grids and promote the upgrade of old lines. Through measures such as increasing transformers, expanding transformer capacity and automating the renovation of old 10kv lines, they aim to further improve power supply reliability and energy quality, in a bid to lay a solid foundation for the upcoming winter peak electricity demand.
