First county-level Beidou demonstration area for electric power established in Taxkorgan
On Nov 19, the successful return transmission of the tower inclination monitoring data of the 220 kilovolt Yingcun Line in Taxkorgan county, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, marked the completion of the construction of the first county-level Beidou demonstration area for electric power.
Taxkorgan county is located on the eastern foot of the Pamir Plateau, with an average altitude of over 4,000 meters. Located in a remote geographical location, it has a complex and changeable terrain, harsh natural environment and frequent geological disasters. Due to the low coverage rate of traditional wireless public network communication and the weak infrastructure construction, some marketing and distribution network acquisition terminals information cannot be uploaded, and the unmanned aerial vehicle inspection coverage in areas without signals is insufficient, requiring the need for manual inspections.
The State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company, motivated by the actual needs of the power grid in Taxkorgan county, has solved the problem of insufficient coverage of high-precision Beidou services for power in Taxkorgan county by building Beidou reference stations. Taking advantage of the functions of Beidou positioning and short message communication, it has created six major business scenario applications in line with local conditions in the plateau county, including autonomous inspection by unmanned aerial vehicles, inclination of transmission line towers, collection of marketing electricity consumption information, return transmission of distribution network automation information, operation safety management and control and emergency communication. It has effectively addressed the pain points and difficulties faced by the power grid production and customer service in Taxkorgan county, improved the application level of the power Beidou, and helped with the construction of a new power system in southern Xinjiang.
Currently, it has achieved 24-hour online data monitoring, which has reduced the workload of on-site inspections for operation and maintenance personnel, ensured the safety of personnel and equipment, shortened the response time to faults, and enhanced the ability of transmission lines to withstand natural disasters.
Meanwhile, the State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company has also utilized the Beidou short message technology to achieve functions such as the real-time upload of electricity meter data of users in remote areas, the precise positioning and navigation of unmanned aerial vehicles in areas without signals and the collection of operation data of distribution network line equipment, effectively saving labor and equipment costs.
Next, the State Grid Kashgar Power Supply Company will continue to promote the construction of the Beidou demonstration area. It will focus on the in-depth integration of Beidou technology and power grid business, advance the on-site application of power Beidou in various specialties of the company, continuously cultivate new driving forces and new engines of "Beidou +" and support the digital transformation of the power grid as well as the high-quality development of the enterprise.
