State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company: Assisting the 2,323 relocated individuals to live a happy life
On Nov 20, State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company staff members visited the ecological and geological disaster evacuation and resettlement site in Nanyangou village, Jiaojiazhuang town, Yongchang county of Gansu province. They installed power metering devices to ensure that the newly relocated households stay warm in winter.
The ecological and geological disaster evacuation and relocation project in Yongchang county involves 2,323 households across 31 villages in six townships and villages, namely Xinchengzi, Hongshanyao, Jiaojiazhuang, Chengguan, Nanba and Hexibao. The scale of the relocation is immense, and the power supply task is challenging. State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company actively responded to the government's call, applying for approval of 31 power distribution expansion projects for the geological disaster avoidance project in Yongchang county, assisting the relocated residents in steadily progressing towards a happy new life.
To ensure a seamless electricity supply for residents after relocation, the company set up a special working group to carry out an in-depth field survey in the relocation area. The group meticulously documented and precisely analyzed the current state of power facilities and electricity demand in each relocated village, along with the geographical location and planning layout of the new sites for resettlement. Based on the survey results, a personalized power guarantee plan was devised.
State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company has also offered comprehensive and attentive services to the relocated residents. In the old village, staff members visited households to assist residents in completing electricity transfer procedures, and conducted inspections and maintenance of electrical equipment to guarantee electrical safety during the relocation process. At the new resettlement site, a convenience service center has been established to address residents' inquiries regarding clean heating initiatives like "solar energy + electric auxiliary heating" and electric kang (a traditional heatable brick bed) and to guide them in utilizing new features like smart meters and online billing. For families facing special hardships, the power supply office has provided complimentary indoor wiring and energy-saving light replacement services, aiming to alleviate their living burdens.
State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company not only brings light and warmth to the relocated residents but also lays a solid power foundation for local ecological reconstruction and sustainable development.
