Chelsea rallies for a wild win at Tottenham
Palmer scores the winning goal from the penalty spot as victory moves the Blues to third in the rankings
The Blues' only losses in the league have been to Manchester City — in the opening round, way before the champion's recent meltdown — and Liverpool. They've won their last four league games, scoring 14 goals in the process.
"To come to this stadium and think you are going to win and not suffer, it's impossible. It's the perfect win probably because of this," the Italian coach told reporters.
"After the game, my message to the players is to be focused in the day by day, our sessions, the next game on Thursday and then Sunday. The main focus has to be to enjoy the day off and when we come back, 100 percent, train well, go for the game.
"The fans can dream because from the outside, it is quite clear and inside, the reality is we are not ready but the important thing is we improve day by day."
Still, Chelsea's players were following Maresca's line.
"We still have so much to improve on," Chelsea defender Levi Colwill said. "Like the gaffer (boss) said, when we are ready to push for a title we won't be 2-0 down in the first 10(minutes). That's the levels and that's what we're going to keep working on."
