Trade not a win-lose situation
Global economists are paying close attention to China's economic outlook.
In a recent interview with China Daily, Alan Bollard, former Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, discussed the challenges currently facing China's economy. He noted that, in the face of rising trade competition, a key question remains whether stimulus policies will effectively encourage Chinese companies to increase investment or if there are ways to stimulate domestic consumption in China.
Bollard also expressed concern about the negative impact of rising tariffs, which he believes hurt consumers and could lead to more trade barriers, further escalating unhealthy trade competition. He stressed that trade should never be a zero-sum game; instead, it can be a win-win situation for all parties involved.
